so i went to l'oreal hq on monday. manicure thereafter, chit-chatted wif weihao at simei and followed by facial at Amore day spa.

had steamboat dinner cuz xiao jiu going back to Texas alrdy. forgot to ask him to help mi buy Clinique's products cuz i think it'll be cheaper there than in Sg.

today!
my favourite day cuz i gotta meet up wif my lovelies.
early morning i woke up for tuition and walked to bedok inter aft that cuz i'd time to kill. went to beaute spring and i realised that MOST OF THE PRODUCTS ON SALE HAVE DIFFERENT PACKAGING AS COMPARED TO THOSE ON SALE IN THE MARKET. i reckon that the components in those products are also not 100% the same as others lor.
take the case of l'oreal products; day in day out, all i do is look at l'oreal products and tell mi, how cn i not know what the real McCoy looks/feel/smell like? the l'oreal products on display there are like, so very different from what u'd see frm pharmacies like watson's and guardian. eg. skin refiner pore minimising serum is in those bottle-with-a-nozzle form and white perfect deep whitening spot corrector is in a tube form but in Beaute Spring, their packaging is exactly the opp. if ignorant consumers buy those not so real products and develope skin allergies, medical problems etc, they'd most likely think that that particular product/brand is lousy and relay that to their friends and who knows, "shi chuan qian, qian chuan wan" and in no time, the original manufacturer will get a bad name cuz of those claims.

anyway, met up wif dar thereafter. went to her hse to wait for her to get ready for our shopping trip. town-ing next. contemplated to get a top to go wif my pair of tights/leggings at hme but changed my mind cuz of the rude SA. chose a tube top for dar for CNY. i wanna shop shop shop!
dinner wif shuting at tampines. viceroy menthol w/out the lite for christopher tan tian ci. smoke break wif shuting dearest and kor. kor kept dee siao-ing mi, as usual. what's new uh? went to look for skincare products wif shuting cuz kor needs to go back work and he called again, asked mi go his shop. nonsense-d for awhile and it's hme sweet hme. he wanted mi to wait for him to knock off then we cn go chill out or smthg cuz it's his off day tmr but i was too shagged then and declined lar.


hooray for mi! i found my fav hairstylist and i planned to make an appt for a haircut next wed. next thurs and i'm most prolly gonna wax my thunder thighs and have a mini facial wif sx and se. i hope to get some shopping done too.

note to self: i DO NOT need another pair of shoes; i shall NOT be tempted to splurge on footwear.

i've been thinking, if i suay suay fail my Os again this yr, i'll prolly go get a pte dip in business mgmt/ business admin and aft that, a professional make-up artist course and maybe an advance dip at Cosmoprof. that is, if i'm still interested in cosmetics and all that lar.

heng i was at hme when the postman came to make the delivery lor. was putting on my make-up and supposed to leave for work in 10mins. the DHL guy came just in time lor, cuz when he first rang my doorbell and mama ans-ed it, mama told him he got the wrong address! cuz it slipped her mind that my chio slippers are arriving dis wk. lucky i was at hme arhz, else they're gonna be shipped back to Germany alrdy.





and they came in pretty shoe boxes too!

and i spent money today again on lip and eye make-up.

bought a l'oreal lip gloss each for mama and sis ytd too.
bought daddy a shirt; guess he was quite happy cuz when mama came hme, he told her that, "wo de nu er mai yi fu gei wo leh!". haa. guess it's the first time i bought a 60bucks shirt for daddy.
i'm such a guai and filial daughter uh?

can't wait to get my pay; u gimme my commission first i also happy lor.

my sales was great today. though i was on morning shift, i made 1k lar! my highest record so far. guess i'm gonna continue in the beauty line, much more interesting than selling clothes. cuz firstly, i get to interact and understand more abt my customers, den i try ways to help them address their needs and concerns compared to when i was selling appearel. customer just come in, try the size, maybe ask some qns like the shirt made of wat material then walk off alrdy.

i think i've found at least 3 customers who wana be my regulars. cuz when they asked for my name and said that they'd be getting more products frm mi, i told them that tmr will be my last day at Sengkang then they decided to leave their contact no wif mi so that i cn update them which outlet i'm gonna be posted to next. told them that i'm just a part-timer and not gonna work for long.
i asked one of them, "why. u like mi so much arhz? ahaha. izzit cuz wo hen mei?"
aunty, "yar lar, ni shi hen mei lar, very pleasent too."

omg. i totally blushed lar, for some unknown reasons.

dar was very cute ytd. cuz we were planning how to celebrate our bday dis yr as mine falls on Sunday and hers the next day. so i was like, "arbo u celebrate ur bday wif vin on Sunday first lar den i celebrate my belated bday wif u on ur bday lor."
and guess wat she replied. "i celebrate my bday wif vin on Sat den celebrate wif u on BOTH Sunday and Monday". haa. she so cute leh. sacrifice her preicous time wif vin when he book out to celebrate her bday wif mi instead of wif him.

so i think i've found at least a regular customer. cuz got a customer asked for my name today. chatted wif her somemore then somehow mentioned that it's gonna be my last day at Metro sengkang on Sunday. then she was like, huh?. left her hp no wif mi so that i cn tell her which outlet i'll be going to next wk.

so my body therapist asked if imma 空姐.
i was like, "HAHAHA! no lar. 我不够高 lar. 为什么 leh?"
her, "没有 lar, 我看你很美 mah then 问 lor 因为我们这里也是有很多空姐来 mah."

this is like the joke of the yr, mi an air stewardess? ahahaha. no doubt there're lotsa perks and also the prestige being associated wif air stewadess lar but my skin is alrdy dehydrated leh, if i've to fly constantly, my skin condition will deteriorate faster than i cn say "chio bu" lar cuz the air in the cabin is horrendously dry.

2 more days to 13th mth of SINGLEhood and i'm gonna pamper myself wif an Amore massage tmr cuz firstly, i reckon i deserve it though i'd been overspending by quite alot and also secondly, it's at a promo price and i think i'll "gu yu bu qu" if i dun "bao wo zhe ge ji hui". town-ing dis wed wif dar! i'm so so so glad we're finally meeting up and of cuz i'm gonna spend money again. i roughly calculated just now that i'd spent arnd 500+ just on cosmetics, skincare and apperal on dis mth alone, that's not including food, transport and other essentials.

i'm contemplating to go for Amore facial next mon or tues. it'll be a steal at anrd 50bucks. who wanna go wif mi, cn choose facial or massage. pm mi for more details.

when the liondance troupe pong-ed the "firecracker", my heart also pong pong pong. gave mi a fright sia, cuz it was like, i was walking happily round them, minding my own business and oblivious to the outside world when they pong-ed the firecracker thingy.

clinique 3-step regime $(34+34+68), TBS' products abt $50, Boujois' mascara $20.50,L'oreal hydrating essence, L'oreal single eyeshadow $13.50, L'oreal glam shine lip stick $(19.90x2), Maybelline's nail polish $5.50 and also I Nuovi's compact powder refill $38. life sucks wif no money. i wanna buy Biotherm's body shaping cream, C&K's heels, $150 for my birkenstock which i've placed order for last wk, $34.90 to buy Revitalift double pump for mama and also some extra cash to buy a shirt for daddy dearest. cn ask mei mei to go eat grass cuz she said i've got whiskers on my face aft not seeing mi for 3days. ungrateful wretch. hmph.

total sales for ytd and today is close to 1.5k. not easy money lor, considering l'oreal products cost abt $20 each on average. u think lar, how many products i sold to achieve this. 4% commission, here i come! can't wait for next mth when i get my pay. it's gonna be facials, shopping sprees and gorging myself silly.

ok, 2 extreme cases today. one, a customer asked mi to find a foundation for her 11-yr old daughter. so she was speaking in chinese, "find a powder for her."
mi, "huh. wat kinda foundation u wan?"
her, "not for mi, it's for my daughter."
mi, " huh. ur daughter so young need to use make-up de meh?"
her, "where got young? 11-yrs old alrdy leh. just buy then put pretty pretty lar."
mi, "ermz ... ok lor ..."

another one:
customer asked for concealer for her daughter. i was like, but ur daughter's skin nthg to conceal wat!
customer, "her forehead got pimples."
mi, (thinking to myself: wah lao, that one is blemishes. how to cover sia?) "ok, in that case u cn try this concealer. cn try this shade cuz normally we use a tone lighter for concealer."
customer, "okok. i think cn lar."
mi, "so, izzit alright? anyway, just wanna ask wat kinda facial cleanser do u use?"
girl, "clean and clear."
customer, "but she's only 13 leh, don't need to use so much products wat."
mi, "it's better to start young for skincare lar cuz it might be too late when u decide to start using the correct stuff yrs ltr. last time i used clean and clear and found that it wasn't really effective leh. though the moisturizer stated that it's oil-free, but i find my face very oily afterwards lor. why not u try our skincare regime? cn i noe wat kinda skin u have?"
customer, "oily ..."
mi, "ok, den i think u cn use the purezone series cuz this one is slightly stronger, more suitable for oily skin."

so i blah blah blah-ed abit more and the customer purchased $(12.90+12.90+14.90) worth of products instead of the $17.90 she wanted to spend initially on the concealer.

i feel so love-d leh. cuz weiyi and sylvie came down to find mi the other day and weihao pei-ed mi go for break.

i'm sick larrr. sx told mi not to go to work today, said i looked very ke lian.
can't afford not to go to work lar, i need my money!

i'm appalled at the supposedly skincare regime of singaporeans. for goodness sake lar, it's ur face, if u dun invest a little and spend some time and money on it, who else will take care of your face for u?

ignorant lady, "there's no need to use toner or moisturizer aft u cleanse ur face one. from last time till now, i didn't do any of it and u see lar, my skin still so gd hor?"
mi, "hmm ... yar ... (to myself: stop shitting lar. ur face very good meh? kns. open pores, pigmentation problems, dry and flaky skin ...). but still must use toner and moisturizer aft cleansing ur face one wat ... toner helps to minimise ur pores and also help to further clean out the dirt which are clogged in ur pores cuz u nvr wash ur face properly. moisturizer helps to keep ur skin hydrated mah ..."
lady, " i tell u, don't need de lar. i use ABC and XYZ brand de cream, got award one leh, also nvr help. i tell u lar, u all youngsters don't need to use so much stuff de. just buy a normal facial cleanser cn alrdy, wait till u're 30 then use others."
mi, (to myself: omg, 30?!!) aunty, no lar. cnnt liddat. wait til 30yrs old then start to tk care of skin den skin damage liao den liddat too late liao lor. maybe u buy the wrong type of products den not suitable for ur face izzit? that's why u say the cream not gd."
lady, " tell ur customers don't buy this one ... this one not gd one. tell them don't need to waste so much money on face one, buy so much also no use ... i tell u arhz, i use the XYZ cream also nvr help lor. somemore they say got award one hor!"
mi, (smiles politely, but cursing and swearing inside) "aunty, cnnt liddat lar. i think maybe u buy the wrong type of products lor, that's why u say ut nvr helps. u wan to get this revitalift double pump anot? this one helps to lift and firms wrinkled skin cn see the results almost immediately. buy and try lar, now got promotion wat, buy this and cn get a mask FOC. somemore we having l'oreal membership recruitment now, every $30 u spend entitles u to a stamp on our membership card and u get to collect a gift when u complete 5 stamps ... blah blah blah ..."

WQ's ex classmate, whom coincidentally also went to the same sch as mi last yr, gave birth to a baby girl few wks ago. she was only 18 last Dec when she gave birth lar. she's like, only a yr older than mi lar and she and her bf are not even engaged at this point of time lor. i tot i saw her at Metro last wkend wif another girl and 2kids but i wasn't very sure as
a) i'd not seen her for ages
b) she seems to have gained lotsa wt
c) a 19yr old girl wif 2 kids? - ok, granted they might not be her kids in the first place lar

a friend of a friend, same age as mi is getting married this mth apparantly cuz surprise surprise(!), she's expecting lar, what else. kids nowadays arhz ... *shakes head*

it's been a real busy wk.

had facial at paragon last monday. the beautician there said that my skin is VERY dehydrated and sensitive, which i wasn't aware of lar. i hate drinking plain water lor; and also carbonated drinks. but that's not the point lar. my wallet is $72 lighter aft the facial. bought a pair of black shoes at far east, quite cheap lar, considering that there's 20% discount.

work was very boring at bugis cuz it was pouring donkeys and monkeys and there weren't many customers. was there to relieve the permanent Beauty Advisors cuz they had a meeting or smthg.
kor asked if i think he prints money.

went to watch "my fair lady" wif mama at esplanade. it was quite draggy, the whole musical ended close to 11pm and by the time we reached hme, it was aft midnight alrdy. i'm so gonna bring up my little daughter to be a cultured girl lor. she's gonna enjoy fine dining, the arts and such. i'll also prolly send her for etiquette lessons and also modelling classes cuz she needs to develop the correct posture and must also be aware of the image she is presnting of herself to others.

thurs was a very bad day.
i had to wake up very early for tuition and i was feeling very slp deprieved cuz of insufficient slp. it was a big mistake not to bring my IC to work. i didn't noe that i had to hand ovr my IC in exchange for my staff pass there and because of that negliance, i had to travel back hme to tk my IC. it was really pouring that day and even wif my my umbrella, i was totally drenched head to toe. water was squish-squashing in my new shoes lar. i dropped my wallet somewhere in my estate, aft i entered the side gate but the weird thing was, my wallet was found at a bus stop at the other side of my estate. was so thankful that my wallet was returned to mi lar.

made some new friends at workplace. one of them was Regina, the Clinique girl. i'm so gonna get the Clinique 3-step cleansing regime in the next 2 wks lar; been wanting that for mths alrdy. i'm known as the "l'oreal girl" there lar. instead of calling out my name, they'd go, "eh l'oreal l'oreal", as if i don't haf a name of my own lar. imagine someone is working for C&B co. and the lazy ones will name him "CB" and everytime they wanna speak to him, they'd say "eh CB CB!".

sales was quite gd on sun. made $481. a mother and her poly daughter came to buy a lipstick; the daughter's gonna go for a presentation. from i $15.92 lipstick, i'm able to persuade her to part wif $97.70 for some other products. they said that it'd be a waste if i don't go into retail management or at least a business course in poly next time. i was like, "i tot i wasn't that gd and was kinda stuttering through some parts of the product introduction?" thery were like, "no no. u were very gd at selling ur products and even manage to make us part wif more than 1/2 of the money i intended to spend". haa. compliments totally made my day lar but well, there was a downside though. i'd to serve an irritating aunty who kept asking redundant qns abt the products and even said that she don't use moisturizer and toner and "can't u see my skin is still so gd?". wah lan eh, wanted to vomit blood sia. den she still say lancome and shiseido stuff not effective and blah blah blah, all sorts of nonsense lar. wat a fussy woman, but i still managed to made her part wif $70+ though. ha. ain't i a pro?

today's my off day. went to dbs to make a replacement of my atm card and went to look for chris thereafter. kor kept dee siao-ing mi as per normal and i took on the role of the older sis as usual whenever i see him, nagging at him, his piercings, his smoking habits, his spendthrift ways, the way he presents himself etc etc etc. he wanted to buy a gucci tote bag and i reminded him once again of the Guess? watch he promised to buy mi. so sadded leh. i saw an absolutely lovely white butterfly Guess? watch on it's webby but only the green version is available in Sg. the white one is chio-er lor. sigh. i wan that!!! blew $45 on cosmetics and skincare and talked nonsense wif the consultant there.
went hme to makan and aft that, went out wif mama to look at hair dye. forever an ardent l'oreal supporter, that's mi cuz mi and mama bought 4 boxes of hair dye from the excellence range. i still need to buy a box more to compliment the Purple Brown mama's gonna DIY for mi in the next few wks.


on another note, rumour has it that Os results gonna be released on 9feb. i really hope i do well this time round and dun xia suay myself and family wif horrible results.
AND i think they've broken up for gd; don't think they're together any longer.

i never thought that i'd get to see my beloved wallet again aft i lost it on thurs but hor, got a 好心人 found my wallet and returned it to mi, via my estate's guardhouse. oh man, i'm so happy lar - somemore all my barangs barangs are still inside lor. yeah!

today's a real bad day for mi.

first, i'd insufficient slp cuz i kept waking up in the middle of the night. dreamt that i kept dozing off while at work and strained to keep my eyes open - straining my eyes open when it's barely dawn; cuz i tot my rm was my workplace and i have to leave a gd impression cuz it's my first day at the new workplace. so asshole-ly lar.

had less than 5hrs of slp. woke at blardy 8am cuz i'd to give tuition. waited for mama's car for damn long cuz she offered to drive mi hme first aft tuition so that i cn rest for awhile before going to work.

didn't noe that i'd to pass my IC ovr to he security guard in exchange for the staff pass. bloody damnit. went back to bedok frm sengkang and i think i lost my wallet somewhere out there. can't find it anywhere at hme. sian 1/2 lar. cash, ez-link card, atm card, many many membership cards and also some other stuff to be redeemed ... wth lar! most gek xim is my access card in there, and my student ez-link too! damn it lar. will the one who took my my wallet, kindly return it to mi? i promise u cn have the cash lar, it's not much though, just a few tens but pls lar, return mi the cards lar.
mama drove mi back to sengkang. i was drenched frm head to toe, my toes were squek squashing in the rainwater in my flats lar. my new shoe leh, so heartache, only bought it on monday lor. so anyhow, i didn't have money for break and also no money for transport back hme. my in-charge was so sweet lar, bought some pastry and stuff for mi when she went for her break though i barely knew her. weihao was sweet too! offered to lend mi money - thanks dude.

haa. gotta noe a few other girls there today. the one whom left the deepest impression on mi was Glenna - cuz i dressed up her eyes; gave her a mini makeover. the girls there were damn cute lar, said my make-up very nice. they all really damn innocent and cute leh. dis is the 2nd time dis wk i've been complimented in my make-up skills though i think the way i dress up my face is pretty average lor.

i hope i did not misplace my IC. i tot it was in my wallet all along till i had to hand it over to the security guard in exchange for the staff pass today and i realised that i couldn't find that damn thing.

oh yeah man, my sales today was 511.smthg, exceeding my target of 350. 4% commission, here i come (provided if i continue to exceed the target lar).

so i was working hppily when i saw 3 goth-wannabes. one of them asked for liquid eyeliner. like, wtf sia. multiple facial piercings, dark smoky eyes, tousled, badly-coloured hair ... man, get a grip lar.

worked at causeway for 4 days and i had 3 dif guys for company aft work. eh, i'm not a flirt or wat hor, just that the timing gd gd den got ppl pei mi lor. today the l'oreal hq guy sent mi back hme. damn song lar, dun need to tk one hr bus ride back hme alone. he half jokingly said i shld go get the perfect slim cream. ass lar, i where got so fat.

and i just hate guys who go "nbcb, lim pei is blah blah blah" loudly, on public transport. esp if they are younger than mi and look ridiculously short wif baggy jeans and oversized tees.

blew money AGAIN. sian, haven get my pay and i'm spending like siao.

the counter aunty asked if "my bf is coming to pick mi up today" anot and i was like, huh, since when i got bf sia. she said my bf very shuai. wtf lar.

saw JX wif his gf today again while i was in store. they walked past my store and i quickly grabbed Adeline's hand and told her to look out for "that guy wif longish stylo hair. got a girl in white by his side one". her face was like, so lolx lar. stunned for a moment den quickly went out of the store.

i'm supposed to be at clarke quay wif shuting and co for dearest shuting's 21st bday but i decided not to go cuz i'm too too tired. i'm really sorry girl.

sales was terrible lar. missed my target by anrd $100 for ytd and today.

i think i like, very dua pai leh. weihao waited for mi to knock off for 2hrs ytd, he walked 2 freaking rounds round causeway point lar den we deliberately waited for another bus to go back bedok cuz i was too tired to stand and squeeze wif the other passengers on the single-deck bus.
kiwi came and looked for mi too. eons since i last saw him and i almost couldn't recognise him wif his new hair colour. saw JX wif his gf at yoshinoya but he didn't even acknowledge mi. so dao lar! it's either he didn't recognise mi or he just couldn't be bothered to come and say hi to mi; must be he very rude de lar. hmm ... somehow, i think he looks abit like Ma Lu of the 9pm channel 8 show starring Li Nanxing and Zoe tay which ended it's run today.

went for training at l'oreal today. 8hrs of intensive product knowledge and all sorts of shit. gonna start work tmr at causeway point. sian, so far larrr. next thurs gonna go metro work, have to man a counter by myself and i seriously feel that i'm not up to it lor. told Von that i dun feel confident selling/recommending products but she said that i'm gd enough for a newcomer. so pressurized lar. why must l'oreal sell so many products sia? memorise till i siao also can't remember all the info lor. didn't even study so hard for Os.

it's gonna be another long day tmr. tuition at 9am followed by work frm 12 to 8pm.

city dwellers getting very amused by the presence of tadpoles. so much for education and life sciences uh.

went and did my nails again. firstly cuz my nails broke while checking stock and i need to file it back to shape or smthg and secondly, this shop were i last did my nails was having a promo, $12 for 2 express manicure so i decided to go for a nail job while on my break lor. 1hr break = 5mins for walking to and fro + 50mins doing manicure + 5mins to gobble up 3 tako pochi balls. add $10 for nail art, it doesn't look that nice in the pic lar but it looks totally fab in real life. the base is of a pale, creamy pink and the colour gradually deepens to a glittery red/pink at the tip. nails wasn't even completely dry yet when i went back to my shop and i was taking great care not to smudge the paint. lucky there wasn't that many customers when i had to work alone, did only abt 1.1k of sales. poo, x and many others said that my strawberry nails looked nicer leh. sadded.

going for training at l'oreal tmr. gotta wake up at the ungodly hr of 7am and for some reason, i'm so psyched and excited abt tmr lar. last yr, i dreamt of having my own cookie shop cuz i enjoy baking (but not the cleaning up part lar) but dropped the idea mainly cuz of the competition from the big boys eg. famous amos and also cuz vainty won mi ovr in the end. i could not endure working for long hrs in the kitchen and also under immensely hot temperature(courtesy of the baking equip) as they will cause mi to have outbreaks every now and then and my skin will "spoil". and i also cannot paint my nails or wat lor cuz either the colours will chip and be part of an extra gift to the customer in the cookie or the polish will not last cuz my nails will constantly be in contact wif dough, water etc. anyway, daddy said that he might get mi a franchise outlet if i'm still interested to work in the retail sector next time. i cn alrdy envision my future shop. i'll mostly sell ladies apperal and also offer services like hair-and-make up and also manicure pedicure. customers will also be offered free flow of some exotic tea and also home-baked cookies. i'll enlist the help of shuting in designing the clothes cuz of her passion in this area and also do some sourcing at the neighbouring countries. and i'm sure chris kor will also gladly help mi do marketing and designing of the shop etc. haiya, plan until so much scarly next yr i dun wanna do this anymore.

dis coming sat is shuting dearest's bday and she jio mi go chiong, said that "age will not be a problem cuz my friend cn help u get in" but i dunno leh. it's been ages since i went out for nightlife and i'll prolly be out till dawn if i join them and i've to wake early the next morning lor. sian. friend's bday but can't celebrate wif her. aiya, dunno leh. told her i'll cfrm and msg her on thurs.
