yes, i think her diction and english language sentence structure needs improvement. but, are we that perfect anyway? coming frm us, singaporeans, who favour the use of singlish ovr the queen's english. tk note, it's singlish, singaporean english, it's not even proper.
we're all judgemental, no, dun u dare say u are not. do not not label someone a geek/nerd/hooligan etc based solely on the dressing and/or the language spoken/used? do u not judge a person's background based on the uniform worn? do u not grp ppl who stay in a certain district together? do u not shun/gossip abt ppl who appears different frm u? do u not stereotype an individual based on the car owned, the properties purchased, the spending power one has? do u not form a certain perception of a person on the basis of the job position held, the 'fatness' of the pay cheque?
are u a saint? have u not made any mistakes, not commit any offences in ur entire life?
have u ever fibbed to ur parents, telling them that ALL ur classmates did as badly as u did in that test?
have u not flouted some traffic offences?
speeding, no? parking along double yellow lines, driving in the bus lane when u aren't supposed to?
u're just plain lucky u aren't thrusted into the limelight and mistakes made public.
it's ovr-rated, it really is.

u say that she's a disgrace, that she shld be de-throned. yes, she's backed outta the contest now, or so she said. but spare a thought. it sure ain't easy to have travelled this far, to have realised ur dreams, and see it crashed in ur own hands because of a mistake u made 2yrs ago, during the teenage yrs filled with angst and rebellion.
u wan a beauty queen who speaks eloquently, who has great poise, who carries herself well, among other qualites. but there's insufficient resources in gd ol', small little sg to groom such individuals. even if there's someone out there who portrays great potential in this area, is she willing to tk time off sch and dedicate a gd no of yrs to this industry wif no gurantees? will there be support, frm parents, and also monetary? will she be labelled a bimbo, an airhead? look at venezuala (sp?). they have a sch dedicated to training and grooming beauty queens, rite frm when the girls are young kids.
wif no support frm the community, but name-callings, one has to subject herself to public scrutiny, and humilation. who noes? ur past photos might have popped out, photoshopped to death, making u look fugly, and accusing u of having undergone plastic surgery. old foes may suddenly reappear, proclaiming to the media and all who will listen that they were ur best friends, cooking up stories and thereby tarnishing ur reputation.

but i do not keep harping on it.
give the poor girl a break, she's only 19 for goodness' sake.

running amok in the middle of the night?
going for late night suppers and watch urself get fat?
give her some credit, at least she cn say that she was ms world sg, for awhile.
